Clinic Appointments
Suitable for physiotherapy assessment, rehabilitation, general aches and pains, post-operative recovery and hands on treatment.
Home Visits
Home visits allow you to receive personalised physiotherapy in familiar surroundings. They are particularly helpful following surgery or a hospital stay, or if pain, breathlessness, reduced mobility or confidence makes getting out more challenging.
Medical & Respiratory Rehabilitation
An acute illness or hospital admission can leave you feeling weaker and unsure of how much activity is safe. Long term respiratory conditions such as COPD, asthma and bronchiectasis can also make everyday activities more challenging. With a specialist respiratory background, I bring advanced assessment skills and an understanding of complex medical conditions to your rehabilitation. Treatment may include breathing techniques, airway clearance advice, pacing, exercise and support to manage your symptoms and rebuild your strength, exercise tolerance and independence.
Post-Operative Physiotherapy
Post-operative physiotherapy targets your ability to regain strength and function and reduce the risk of post surgery complications. This may include rehabilitation after a joint replacement or other orthopaedic procedures, as well as abdominal, thoracic or other major surgery.
Your rehabilitation will be tailored to your individual needs helping you progress safely, rebuild confidence and return to everyday activities.
Falls Prevention
As we age our risk of falling increases. Our risk is also increased when recovering from injuries or illness or a change in our daily function. Having a fall can cause complications such a fractures, loss of independent function and reduced confidence.
Physiotherapy focuses on and addresses environmental, physical and psychological factors through advice about home modifications and evidenced based techniques to reduce your risk of falling and increases your ability to recover and move with confidence.
General Aches and Pains
Pain or stiffness affecting your back, neck, muscles or joints can make everyday movement and activity more difficult. A thorough physiotherapy assessment will explore your symptoms, movement and the effect they are having on your daily life. You will receive personalised advice, treatment and an exercise plan designed to help you manage symptoms with greater confidence.
